Supermarket Planning Application
A major supermarket could soon be serving the West End and surrounding areas at the Glasgow Harbour site.
Glasgow Harbour has submitted a planning application for a store covering 130,000 square feet between the Riverside Walkway and South Street.
As part of the development, 252 apartments - all with a view of the Clyde - would be built along with specialist shops, cafe, landscaped public square and new pontoon on the river.
And access would be easy thanks to the planned Fastlink public transport system to the city centre and Glasgow Harbour's £25m package of road and infrastructure improvements on the Clydeside Expressway.
With no substantial modern supermarket provision serving the areas of Partick, Whiteinch and Broomhill we have received strong interest from all of the major supermarket operators.
