Partick interchange is the public transport interchange serving Glasgow Harbour. Partick, which is only a few minutes' walk from Glasgow Harbour, is the fifth busiest station in Scotland - the third busiest in Glasgow, after Central and Queen Street - and a major transport hub used by more than 2 million passengers every year. It provides fast and frequent train, subway and bus links.
The station will come into direct access from Glasgow Harbour following our current £25 million programme of road and infrastructure improvements which includes a new pedestrian bridge linking the development and the interchange.
In addition, a major £12.3 million project is underway to completely rebuild Partick Station. It's expected the work will be finished in January 2007. The new station and interchange will transform the area and will offer rail, subway and bus passengers better facilities.
The station will remain open during the 66 week building programme, and all train, subway and bus services will continue to run as scheduled during works. Improvements include better access to the platforms and bus stances, state-of-the-art passenger information systems, and better interchange between services.
